Please tell me what you think?

Having grown up in a tradition that talks a lot about comfort (afterall, ‘what is my only comfort in life and in death’), I wonder whether we’ve become too comfortable?

This guy gets to the point, a bit edgy though.
But even though some may not like how he says it, what he says seems valid.
What do you think of his rant?

Wow, what a challenging and convicting video.
An important reminder that children are watching, children are learning.
Reminds me of a prayer in the form of a song I once heard years ago.
It was a Promise Keepers song, a father praying in regards to his son:
“Lord I want to be just like you, cause he wants to be just like me…”

I don’t think I’ve heard this one used in worship yet…
Just what is the message in this song?

Its amazing how a song that I learned while in Mexico can still touch me deeply as I hear it.
I do remember what some of the lines mean – its a great song!
But the impact comes more from the memories associated with it, as we spent a week in Juarez, Mexico, and saw God at work in, around and through us.
Maybe part of it is because our son Tim is still living and serving there – one of the ways God moved that week when we were there in April 08.
Won’t mean as much to you, but enjoy!

The United Methodist Church invites us to rethink church.
This is where my own mind has been going, after spending a week churching with our youth in Washington DC.
I like the part about the Sunday actually being a day of rest, because Monday through Saturday is the time for churching!
