think about it

There is no neutral ground in the universe; every square inch, every split second, is claimed by God and counter-claimed by Satan. — C. S. Lewis

[Updated January 2011]
We live in Ajax, Onatrio, where I am serving as a missionary pastor to Crossroads, a Christian Reformed Church Plant. Prior to that we served in Port Perry from 1998 to 2008, and in Charlottetown, PEI from 1993-1998. I am originally from Hamilton and Valerie comes from Orono, so we have enjoyed being close to family and friends.

Timothy is at Tyndale University College in Toronto working for a degree in social work. Nathan is on an intership with Urban Promise in Toronto, a ministry that works with at-risk youth. Janelle is in grade 10 at Durham Christian High in Bowmanville.

Valerie has been blessed to work with 3 other ladies in a painting business, and although they have been very busy, it has been a tremendous opportunity for work within school hours. It seems that with the economic downturn fewer people are hiring painters, so if you have any painting to do…

We are into our third year in Ajax at Crossroads Community Church. We are located in downtown Ajax at the Bolton C. Falby public school, and are committed to “blessing the students, the staff and the families of Bolton C. Falby PS.” We are very impressed with the staff and the school, in spite of the challenges that they face. We are thankful to have opportunities to work with them. I’ve recently joined the School Community Council as a community rep., and am volunteering with the music program!

My personal “mission statement” has been to have a personal, life-changing relationship with the Lord, and to help others have the same. My passion is to see the church revitalized, to see believers released in the joy and power of our new life in Christ, and to help those who do not know Jesus discover the difference He can make in their lives, both for now and for eternity.

In His Hands,
