Reading the bible with Jesus: Psalm 17

This week I am focusing on Psalm 17 (Monday, Aug 3 – Sunday Aug 9, 2020)
Imagine sitting with Jesus and reading this passage with Him. How would you explain this passage to Him? What questions would you ask? What lessons would you glean?
If all scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17), then how is Jesus teaching, rebuking, correcting or training me through this passage?

Your comments will help me as I prepare my message for next Sunday (Aug 9, 2020).

  1. I was given a gift by a women’s auxiliary group – a lapel pin shaped like an apple – along with Ps17:8 “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings” – I’ve thought about that a lot through the years – that God would look at me as I would look at an apple tree and see the perfect apple – and desire it. God desires me – I’m the ‘apple of His eye!”
