PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: Mark 4:26-29
What do you sense the Lord saying to you in this passage?
“The seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.” (Mark 4:27)
The message of Jesus and the kingdom of God is like a seed.
The farmer spreads the message, but is not the one that makes it grow.
Something happens between the seed and the soil, and it grows.
The farmer is just a servant, that assists in this growth process.
“Neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow… For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field.” (1 Corinthians 3:6,7,9)
I need to be reminded of this… we all do!
It is not our job to convince or change people, only to spread the message.
Talk about Jesus, talk about what He has done for us, and why He came.
The message of Jesus is powerful enough to grow “all by itself” (v.28).
Jesus is in charge of the world, Jesus is reclaiming and rebuilding God’s kingdom.
Good is spreading, evil is being overcome, lives are being changed, hope is real!
I have no idea how God uses my testimony of Jesus in other peoples’ lives.
But I can trust that somehow, in some way, that seed is at work.
Lord, thank You for the reminder that You are Your own apologist. I do not need to convince or change others, I just need to let Your message convince and change me, and You will do the rest!
